so the gnarls biggie site has been getting bumrushed this week (over 30,000 visitors and 10,000 downloads in like two days...we essentially doubled the past month in a day) and to avoid ridiculous bandwith charges we disbaled the links to the songs...you can still Download the Whole "Gnarls Biggie" album here....just follow the on screen instructions...
we're going to re-launch the site in the next couple of days with new links...if you're interested in hosting the album hit us up...or just host it and give credit where its due...
in other news, i promised y'all a remix this week so check back tomorrow and we gon do this...
for now...(dig on Emo-Thug)...check out what our boy DJ Morsy is doing...going big time with this...
yo so i'm relaxin in buffalo for the week...honoring those whose loins brought me into this chaos...
meanwhile, elsewhere's grindin tryin to get DAP off the ground...
other than that we're thinking about what's next and it looks like we're going to be releasing a collection of our own remixes in the next month or two...the ones which have made the crowds go craziest...i think we'll release a cd first and then a vinyl too for all the dj's/audiophiles...and yes these will be properly mastered before release...
next monday i will be starting to post some of the remixes on the site so be sure to check back...we'l be doing one a week for like the next ten weeks...lots of good stuff to hear...stay tuned...
good looking out to all those who came through last night...dr. delay killed it and the place got quite hot for a mid-summer's night eve....we'll be back in two weeks for k. rizzle's b-day...
in other news, if your a blogger, get set for a day of Web activism to Impeach the CEO of Murder Incorporated...no i'm not talking about ja-rule or irv gotti...i speak of our (s)elected president...this shit is gunna go down people so get involved...2007, bitches (no offense to the female readers)...we're taking over...
so, Gnarls Biggie has been bootlegged. We knew it would happen eventually. I can only imagine how bad the sound quality on that cd is. Luckily, soon we'll have the re-mastered album available. Not surprisingly, they didn't even give us any credit on the cd. Unbelievable. I bet some people are claiming they made it. Oh well. We knew this thing would get way bigger than us.
so gnarls biggie is getting remastered this week, by the sleeping buddha down in new orleans...more info on that soon...
here's a sweet article on how many times "our country's" CIA has tried to kill Fidel Castro...isn't it nice how they invest tax dollars? meanwhile, in that little third world country they got national health care, yet they can't do it over here...things that make ya say "hmmm"...
oh and this weekend, sound advice is back at supreme trading with a special guest, dr. delay...creator of psy-crunk...should be pretty good so mark your calendar and get out on saturday... flyer below...
if you're anything like me, your a bit befuddled by the chicken noodle soup phenomenon. lyrically it has to be the one of the worst songs ever, but at the same time its better than alot of the gangsta shit kids be listening to all the time...and the dance is awesome...anyways, if you live outside of new york you probably havent heard much of this song yet, but you will...there are like ten thousand videos of people doing the dance on youtube...and here's my favorite so far...technically he isn't the best dancer, but its just one hilarious little kid...check it out...
thank god the last four days are over...shit has been hectic...and interestingly enough, around the same time we get a break israel chills on bombing the shit out of lebanon...weird...
anyways, lots of ridiculousness in the air...rolling stone reviewed gnarls biggie right after taking a big gulp of haterade (its on page 100 of the new issue right next to justin timberlakes new album...ha) and we got half a star less than the new pharell album (ha). we're shocked by this, since we really made no effort to get them this music. also, they claim none of the songs synch up, which unless im tempo-deaf is a straight up lie. but hey, they also thought if john kerry got elected he would actually change shit. come on...skull and bones...on top of that my dad reads rolling stone...he's cool (and he's intrigued by the album) but as with every 40-something person into music, inherently out of touch...i hope to be like him someday...
ultimately, the best part is that this tape went from being a joke to being an album that rolling stone took seriously...and even better is that people pay publicists and managers shit loads of dough to get rolling stone reviews and we got one for nothing...i do wish we had the album properly mastered but hey we don't have any budget for stuff like that...
that brings me to my next point...if anybody who reads thsi blog wants to master gnarls biggie, email us and lets make it happen...we can't pay but you can get your name on the project...hope to hear from you...
alright...gunna get back to work, but more is to come for sure...
